Hi my IGC energizers! Just a little fun, IGC is my acronym for InnerGChic! If you’re here you know everything is about energy, which starts with the inner you! I thought I’d give you guys a cool name to go by! Welcome to my first blog and thanks for being a part of my sounding board, I love getting your opinions and thoughts on life’s most interesting topics. I’ve been ghostwriting for over 10 years and the number one question I get asked all the time is why now after so many years of being a ghost so to speak? This will be the most contradicting answer of all, but it’s the truth. Simply put, because I can and felt within me it was time. When we look at most of the decisions we make in life, whether we lived through finding out if it was right or wrong, how often can the underlying factor be traced back to timing? In my time of being a writer, I’ve truly seen it all. From my humble beginnings of living mostly in my head and thinking my writing was irreplaceable until I met the replacement, another writer, and let’s just say we both learned some valuable lessons that day.
Oh, how do I love music!!!! So much that I learned there’s a time to speak and keep quiet in the studio especially if asked specific things. You quickly realize “credit” isn’t only for a FICO score. I can’t forget my “you see me but you don’t see me” loyal clients. As a ghostwriter, I have just that, quite a few clients in the public eye who prefer to keep things confidential and unknown. It’s a win for us both because I get to write, am compensated for it, and they get to live their lives and focus on business.
I know you’re wondering if this is some “tell all tactic”, but my real life lessons aren’t for publicity, just continuing my journey of being transparent.
As I mentioned before, I trial and error many moments in my writing career. But that’s the beauty in learning. It quickly helps you identify what your passion and purpose is. Can you do it without money being attached to every opportunity? My typewriter has bleed enough ink telling others stories, and helping them gather their thoughts. Taking a visit back to that underlying factor statement, the other piece to that puzzle was the fact that I’m an introvert at the core of it. Now, someone will read this and say “not the Nikki I know or met!” The truth is, I love my solitude, and shy away from crowds filled with various energies. But at the end of the day, a girl’s got to handle business, so I’m learning to adapt!
So, let’s recap, I’m a ghostwriter, for others from various walks of life and public statuses, not too fond of social media, oh and I’m an introvert. But I ABSOLUTELY love writing, and must prepare my introvert side to meet my extrovert side when meeting clients, networking, and collaborating with other entrepreneurs. I know, I already told you, CONTRADICTIONS!!! How many have you counted by now? Hold that thought, I don’t really want to know. If any part of this sounds familiar to you, maybe in the journey of your career or how you found your passion, my ears are burning to know. Did you wait before you embraced your passion or are you still waiting to jump? Until next time, love yourself, appreciate your tribe, and try something new!
We’ve taken the time to put together a few simple proven steps for our clients to use daily, revealing the writer within themselves.
